Meet the Junior board candidates who are up for elections this year:

I think that I bring plenty of admirable qualities to the SDFSC Jr. Board. First of all, I have very good leadership skills. Through being on the SDFSC Jr. Board for three years, being the upcoming Varsity Cheer Captain, and being the upcoming ASB President of my school, I have had lots of experience in this department. I am prepared to be a leader and an active member of the Jr. Board this year. I am also very organized. Balancing my school life, home life, skate life, and social life, have been things I have had to constantly deal with. Due to the fact that I have many extracurricular activities and an overall busy life, I have learned to be organized and on task in order to succeed. Lastly, I am great at public speaking. I have had lots of experience in public speaking due to my Girl Scout experience, ASB experience, and life experience. I am not afraid to stand in front of a crowd and speak up. It would be an honor to be part of the board again and I hope that my qualities make me qualified!

As a dedicated member of the SDFSC Junior Board for the past two years, I’ve proudly contributed to increasing our club’s visibility and engagement by creating dynamic Instagram content that connects with skaters, families, and fans. I also took initiative to help manage and update our website, ensuring it stays current, easy to navigate, and reflective of the vibrant SDFSC community.
If elected as VP of Communications, I plan to elevate our communications by launching a consistent, well-designed newsletter to keep members informed and inspired. I will also lead the marketing team with clear timelines and coordination, making sure promotional content is posted at least 10 days before every event — giving our members the time they need to participate and support. I’m excited to bring fresh ideas, strong organization, and a passion for our club’s success to this role.

I’d like to be part of the Junior Board again this year because I enjoy planning and hosting events that bring skaters of all ages in our club together. There are many qualities that I would bring to the Junior Board including organization, commitment, and perceptiveness. I believe that commitment is important in order to build a strong and successful team and to establish trust with the people you work with. I am dedicated to organizing events that will foster connection among our club members. I look forward to another great year and getting to meet new club members!

Ever since I was 6, I’ve been skating at the San Diego Ice Arena. I’m very passionate about skating, and would love to be part of the junior board. I’ve also been in synchronized skating for multiple years and have passed up to my silver MITF so I can work very well in a team setting and on my own. I’m an outgoing and social person, which means I can help in trying to expand our reach of interests and get more people to join our community. I always try my best to be on time and keep my work tidy, and will help keep our club moving forward. When faced with tough situations, I will still exert my best effort to complete it to the best of my abilities.
The election ballot will be distributed at the same time as the SDFSC Annual Election, and will only be ratified for candidates who are in good standing for the 2024-2025 membership year.
